Built among a former pineapple plantation, Banyan Golf Club in Hua Hin opened in October 2008. In the Summer of 2009, the course was awarded Best New Course in Asia-Pacific by the readers of Asian Golf Monthly. Since that time Banyan Golf Club course, the clubhouse, and the staff have consistently claimed 'Top 3 in Asia' awards and have also been featured in the 'Rolex Top 1000' in the World.

 Head Golf Course architect Pirapon Namatra from Golf East designed the world class 18-hole championship golf course, which is known to be one of the most natural in Thailand.

The course provides spectacular mountain and ocean views from almost all of the holes and is, said to be one of the best layouts in Hua Hin. Every hole has six tee boxes locations, making the course challenging depending on the golfer’s ability and their tee selection. Strategically placed water hazards, bunkers, and sand traps are laid out throughout the course, to make the course both challenging and thought provoking. Use of the native pineapple groves, that are remaining, make use of local fruit crop come into play if straying too far off the fairways. Careful, pineapple plants are sharp, and scratch easily, so play away from the Pineapple Fields.

The fairway grass Zoysiais, is a local lush Grass, and is rarely seen on other golf courses in and around Thailand, this type of Grass makes it a pleasure to hit from, as the ball will sit up nicely. The Darker green Paspalum grass, is used on tee boxes locations, and adds to the stark colour contrast on the course and adds to the nice decorative features, around the course. Greens, constructed of premium Tiff-Eagle Bermuda grass, make the Greens both fast, and very receptive putting surfaces, that are very well-maintained all year round.

The signature 15th hole is a 139-yard par-3 with panoramic ocean views all the way to Singtoh Island, in the Gulf of Thailand. Hole 12, a Huge par-5 610 yards, going uphill, which makes it a challenging hole to reach for even the most accomplished of golfers. Other holes on the course, feature elevated greens, sloping fairways, streams running through the course, waste areas, and well thought out fairway and greenside bunker locations.

Practice facilities are available, and include a grass driving range, two large putting and chipping greens. The Banyan Golf Club House is built in a contemporary Thai style, which a full reception area, very well-stocked pro shop, with friendly welcoming Staff, elegant locker rooms, and two international recognised restaurants; one of which is 5-star rated. The vast Changing Arears offer, toilet, shower and luxury grooming amenities around the facilities for both Men and Women. 

The Terrace Restaurant, an International Recognised, all-day dining venue with a good variety of both Western and Thai cuisine and daily specials (Please ask for the daily specials).The Restaurant also features a walk-in wine cooler with an excellent selection of fine wines to suit all taste buds. Mulligan's Pub, with extensive views over the golf course and the mountains separating Thailand from Burma, makes for an ideal way to have a few cold drinks, and take stunning pictures of a perfect Thai sunset.

People love to walk the Banyan golf course, but for those who want to ride, a golf cart, which has helpful onboard GPS, will find them available from the Pro-Shop. The Banyan Caddies are well-trained handle all the usual services including making sure everyone who visits the Banyan Golf Club, has a great day out, and will want to return to play once more.
